@45shutr1 You can’t explain to those who have never been in danger, a number of times not only have the police been no help, they have mentioned they’re doing me a favor getting involved, should change that motto “to protect and serve.” Since I don’t have the privilege of running away, and a call to the police will get them on site in 15 minutes or more, I chose to use a tool to aid in my protection, if I were gun crazy, I’d have a record for shooting out of situations, it’s a last resort!

@wheelin1 Obviously you have never been the target of criminal intent. I am in a chair, and have been a target. I am a big guy and have been in fights, and have won a couple. But let me tell you, there is nothing “manly” or “unmanly” about protecting your life. Manly? What a silly romantic notion that is. Walking or not, there is nothing you are going to do when a 230 pound felon is coming at you with a tire iron. And that is why I carry. I am not gun crazy, just honest about my abilities.

I don’t plan on fighting or risking bodily harm from the nutz in todays society, that’s why I’m either carrying a 1911 A1 45 or a 357 Magnum, and I can remove the center from a target be it from 5 or 150 yards. Sorry, but I’ll not get involved for other sake, as the injustice system of the US is geared to protect the criminals, if you have a record, you’re pretty much safe from being accountable for YOUR own actions!
